Wrong Interpretation.

"The Colonel's Orders"is a reminder of similar order passed along..There were a trench stretching quite a distance along the front line full of the soldiers waiting for theirs orders. The land line had been damaged so the Colonel instructed the Major to pass on a message along the line of soldiers. The message was ,"Send reinforcements ,were going to advance" By the time the message reached the last man in the trench it read, "Send three and four pence were going to a dance".
