Dear who????

If you know the name of your case officer and that person is Thai, I use "Dear Khun name", otherwise I've used the generic "Dear Sir/Madam". Haven't had any issue with either... *shrug* :o

Dear who????

I just qdressed mine to the Mrs and that was accepted, but then the staff are such a law unto themselves that whoever you address it to they could always say it's wrong if they feel like it.

Meme,

For the UK, it is usual to write the letter to the embassy.

I see that you are applying to the US and Canada, but I imagine that it's the same.

So I have found this www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/letter.html Which says you have to address the letter to the person applying for the visa for Canada. I wonder if this is then the case for the US??

Thanks for the help. I understand this site is prodominatly people from the UK so I am finding it hard to get my questions answered about the US process, not to mention the I dont think I have had any replies from people who have gone the Canada route. But non the less I appreciate any help I can get.
