You can get a 60 day extension at immigration to visit your wife.

You would need you need your wife to go with you. Plus copies of marriage certificate, wife's house book and ID. Copies your passport photo page, entry/permit to stay stamps and TM6 departure card.

Completed TM7 application with attached photo and 1900 baht.

Bring wedding certificate and wife for 60 days.

From Police order 777/2551

2.24 In the case of an alien visiting a Thai spouse or child:

Permission will be granted for a period of not more than 60 days at a time.

(1) Proof of relationship.

(2) In the case of a spouse, their marital relationship shall be de jure (legitimate) and de facto.

But until current police order in 2551 it was marked as "one time only" and very few reports of anyone actually obtaining. It has only recently become much more available.

I was doing this in 1996 in Pattaya. Yes wife and family were involved.

Yes it can but both should visit immigration with full documentation (marriage/birth certificate/id card and home register for Thai)
