Looking to buy or obtain some white polystyrene sheets.

Just enough to insulate a bedroom.

At home, they would typically line a white goods item such as a refrigerator etc.

Do they sell them in Thailand and if where and any ideas about the cost?

Thinking 10 - 20 mm think range.

Cheers

Only place that I've seen them are the places that sell school supplies. The kids use them for school projects. Why not use normal rolled insutation, available at most building supply stores. Also, the polystyrene is very flammable.

^^ thanks for that.

What I am trying to do is to insulate a bedroom. It's not my house so no thoughts of a suspended ceiling etc.

So I have a 'bare' roof ... one type where you see the underside of the roof tiles.

To something like this.

Not exactly that ... but the best visual I could get off the internet.

So, first I have to fix the water leaks from the roof.

I can't get up there because at 100kgs, there is a fear that it will not support my weight as termites riddle the house.

Then I will use an insulation similar to what you suggest.

But that's ugly to view naked, as are the exposed roof tiles.

So the plan then to place the white Polystyrene sheets as both a visual barrier and an second layer of insulation.

So wayned .. thanks for the tip

Maybe I should have asked ... How do you insulate a naked roof/ceiling?
