I hope you don't take them at their word that this wasn't 100% scripted

Knowing the US it would be impossible for anyone to sign off on the liability of the guy getting a heart attack (and he looks like a candidate), other than himself signing a waiver which of course an actor would do.

But yes, very entertaining even though I never heard of the driver. The lowest-paid guy on the agency team that put this together's pulling more in a month than the average TV'er makes in a year. If not a week or maybe even a day or two, if it's one of the top Manhattan firms.

It was obviously staged, but well acted. It was for a TV ad by Pepsy. Jeff Gordon is a well known NASCAR driver, but I don't follow the circuit so I wouldn't know him if I bumped into him on the street. I don't doubt the salesman/actor was scared, though. I would be even knowing I was with a race car driver.
