have a true move international sim, trying to send a text to mates back in australia, tried removing the 0 from the front and putting 61 instead but didnt appear to work? or does it take along time before a user in australia gets the message? any help appreciated cheers

What kind of phone do you have?

Are you able to send SMSes to other phones in Thailand?

I think +66891009120 is the SMSC for TrueMove.

You may have to configure your phone with this SMSC, essentially the number which SMSes get directed to.

yeah can send texts to other thai numbers and calls, phone is an iphone 3gs from australia, i got it unlocked here

Not sure what to say? It could be some issue with TrueMove, or an issue with the service provider in Australia.

FWIW, SMS is, like email, not a guaranteed service.

Is your friend in Australia able to send/receive SMSes from others? Can s/he send you an SMS? If so, maybe test a reply?
