i'm looking at coming to stay in Hua Hin for a week and was hoping someone could recommend a nice place to stay not too far from the beach and the action.....

Jings Guesthouse or All Nations Guesthouse

Sukwilia hotel.... Its on the corner of Soi Bintabaht. Near the temple.

Nice rooms, surprisingly quiet. One of the few that has a swimming pool. 600-800-1000baht (last time i went)

I stayed at Jings there last month.

More than happy with it, handy location, paid 800 baht a night, decent size comfortable room.

Other rooms there from 500 - 1100 baht a night.

I recommend Baan Pa Ploy.

Check out The Bee & B (http://www.beeandb.com).

They are a bit higher than your budget, but get top reviews on TripAdvisor. Location is close to beach and center of town.
