Phanom Rung

For those that don't know, or are fed up of missing it, the Spring Equinox light show occurs at Phanom Rung April 3-5. This is a natural phenomonem produced by the rising sun shining through all 15 doorways of the main building. The spectacle is timed at 06.05-06.12, but get there early because there are thousands there, plus many T.V. (not Thai Visa) crews.

I never had the enjoyment of beign able to go there at this time (I still kind of need to spend most of my time with work), but it is a very big and spiritual event.

Besides that, Phanom Rung in itself is of course a major sightseeing destination, that nobody who lives in the Isaan should have not seen.
