Installing Spell Check On My Notebook For Thaivisa Posts

Featured Replies

I've tried several times to download a spell check for use in Thaivisa forum posts, but It never seems to work.

My notebook has Windows 7.

I use Google for search, I've given up on Google Chrome, because I can't seem to get it operating totally in English, Thai langauge reappears often (I am located in Thailand). Goggle not helpful to give specific answers on how to get only English.

Also given up on Firefox for similar reason.

Any advice much appreciated, thanks.

Chrome has a spell checker which works fine on forums.

I don't use the toolbar but whenever I post on forums any questionable spelling of words I type is highlighted. Not sure if it is Chrome, Word or ThaiVisa doing the correcting but something is.

I use Chrome in Thailand and haven't noticed any problems in getting English results. If you use search then you can go to advanced options to specify only English results.

Thanks Pib, I downloaded IE10, and spellcheck working fine.

Thanks again.

For Google Chrome suspect you are removing cookies so go to IP selected site (Thailand) next time - if you want to return to normal Google site www.google.com/ncr will get you there and keep you there if you do not remove the cookie.

Can I have one item of advice please; On Gmail I now get a small banner saying 'It looks like you now have Compatibility View turned On, and this can cause some problems with g mail' (or something very similar.

Is there any value to a layman 'surfer' / simple e.mail user to have Compatibility View turned on?

Look forward to your advice,

Thanks.

Ah! You're the one who bought it.

I thought spellcheck was just built in to everything now. It is for me. My problem is not having it do stupid auto-corrections all the time.

You need to buy a new, modern computer, state-of-the-art operating system (not that old Microsoft crap) and get with it.

Spell check can be activated for several different languages.

I switch between three languages on my spell check.

Also in Firefox, you can choose between UK, US and Aussie English.
