DAVID MOYES is ready to outgun Arsenal in a £40million bidding war for Cesc Fabregas.

Manchester United’s new boss refuses to give up on signing the former Gunners skipper who is out of favour at Barcelona.

Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger has first refusal on the World Cup-winning midfielder, 26.

But Moyes is ready to price him out in a straight fight this summer as he looks to start building a new era at Man Utd.

The Sun.

Bit of a fairytale I fancy. Fabregas went home to Barca for more than football reasons, can't see him wanting to even come back to Arsenal to be honest, at least not now.

Agreed he'll stay in Spain. Lots of talk about Fab on Talk Sport today. Spanish press think he will stay at Barca unless a big bid comes in, presumably hence the 40m talk. Can't see Arsenal paying 40m to have him back (would be a double stuffing IMO) - he isn't worth that and Cazorla does a fine job in a Fab type role. Why would Moyes not take Fellaini at 25m in preference?

I thought that Fabregas said at one point that he wouldn't rule a move back to your mob out, but tbh, i really can see him fitting into man utd midfield more so than i can see him with the current arsenal one,

Fellaini is half the player Fabregas is.

In preference? you think they both could do the same job?

Someone should tell these kids the story of Pennant and Bentley, both of whom have been dumped on the scrapheap by Stoke and Spurs respectively.

One thing about Wenger is he does believe if you're good enough, you're old enough.

The story of Bentley is a story of a talented player and a flawed character that put himself on the scrap heap. Its the stand out read for any youngster to see what not to do.

I liked Bentley at Blackburn, what went wrong? or was that his level.

Iago Aspas: 'When I heard of Liverpool's interest I did not hesitate even for a minute

"It is one of the biggest clubs in the world and although I also had offers from Italy and Portugal and other countries I decided that my future was in English football."

In preference it's a bit like chalk and cheese IMO. Fabragas is class and I have seen enough of him over the last year to believe he is still a great player and will be a great asset to any midfield. I can see Man U as being the perfect club for him if he returns to the EPL, and although Arsenal have first refusal I can't see Wenger paying £40 mil for a player who wanted away and he sold.

Arsenal will not pay 40m to buy back Fabregas. Its a ridiculous rumour

City appear to be going strong still.

Manuel Pellegrini targets £30m Angel Di Maria for Manchester City title challenge

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-city-transfer-news-manuel-1940848?

Apparently Pellinguini loves wingers, he's cetainly go a collection.biggrin.png

Ah, Di Maria. A very talented winger. Great skills. Unfortunately he has the emotional maturity of a 12 year old. In addition, is the most prolific diver I have ever seen. He's made a little progress in his maturity level over the past year, but still greatly lacking in that department IMO.

I hope City pass on this guy. He puts most divers to shame. Maddening.bah.gif

Now I really want to see him, he must be using a high degree of difficulty to put the 'usual suspects' to shame. biggrin.png

Anyway City like emotionally unstable players. wink.png

Then again, this is why they like Di Maria:thumbsup.gif

I wouldn't mind if Madrid offered to throw him into the Bale package "next" year. I'd be happy with 65m+Di Maria.

Yes he's a diver as are the vast majority. Robbens a diver but a very fine player nonetheless and i don't think thats a valid reason not to sign a player.

Mourinho arguably didn't get the best out of the argentine either

Yes, a very talented player. I've been watching him for years, back when he was with Benfica, and also with the Argentine NT. He is better now with his diving, rolling around like he's been shot with a bazooka madness, but his behavior over the years has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm not saying City shouldn't sign him, only that personally I wouldn't want to see it.

"Tottenham are lining up a surprise move for Fulham winger Alex Kacaniklic".

They want Kacaniklic in a straight €7m cash deal or could use Tom Huddlestone as part of the transfer.

I was jsut thinking I hadn't seen a stupid rumour Spurs related for a while! biggrin.png

Yes if we sign Cavani or Isco you can expect a deafening silence....followed by rapturous laughter.....

Bentdner is another example of a <deleted>. We can't sell him while he keeps getting involved in nightclub melees, yet he did it again on Friday. Perhaps we can loan him to Stoke.
