Spanish singer Julio Iglesias was on television with British TV host Anne Diamond when he used the word "mañana" (pronounced “manyana”).

Diamond asked him to explain what it meant.

Inglesias said that the term means "Maybe the job will be done tomorrow, maybe the next day, maybe the day after that.

Or perhaps next week, next month, next year. Who really cares?"

The host turned to Mr. Sipho Dlamini who was also on the show and asked him if there was an equivalent term in his native language.

"Eish Madam" he replied. "In Zulu we don't have a word to describe that degree of urgency."

Oh look, another bleedin' "H". People keep droppin' 'em, I keep findin' 'em. We've got enough litter bins. It's letter bins we need.

Just to keep Moss updated, I'm currently sipping a Bushmills 12. Not as honey rich as the 14, but certainly smoother than Black or 10. Happy day.

Loads of bush mills in Issan. Most of it is sent to Pattaya and Phuket. B)

Bushmills is OK for a cold day, being a Protestant distillery of course, the Raging Rev Paisley never having touched a drop, but I am still a little jealous.

Back in Oz again for a few months, with decent 'net speed. Is everyone used to this new TV interface? What's the consensus - after getting used to it, is it more or less user friendly than the previous interface?

He's back, WOW.

Nice see ya Ping.

TLW: Welcome

Thanks Pete (and to Ken for the PM). Was on dial-up speed in LOS on a USB modem linked to the 'net through a USB modem - hopeless load times for TV due to all the graphics-intensive adverts, so I didn't bother. However, I have already leased a house long-term in Patong commencing March next year and I'll be arranging high speed 'net as a priority as soon as I get back.

Was good to meet up with Bags a few months ago - unfortunately only the once. Looking forward to catching up with him and others when I get back.

Most probably does

This could happen any place, country.

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS WHEREVER YOU ARE BEFORE LEAVING THE CHECK-OUT/ SHOP

> A friend bought a heap of stuff the other day while holidaying in

> He told her He didn't request any cash and to delete it. She said he'd have to

Coro confusion

Some confused fans of Coronation Street who watched the Christmas cliffhanger episode of a tram crash have been unable to separate fact from fiction. Half a dozen viewers called Manchester transport bosses the next morning to ask if services were affected by the accident.

Typical pom Coro watcher.

Like the lady and her stolen snoman.

Come into the real world Englanders.

Edit to add..............

TLW: Wakeup.

Speaking of British TV shows, I was disappointed to learn that the BBC has ended Last of the Summer Wine; one of the most consistently entertaining shows to come out of Blighty. (Although never screened in LOS, to my knowledge.)
