Does anyone out there know where to take a printer to be repaired please?

The latest power cut (this morning) has buggered up my printer and it won't switch on. Could be a fuse or a burnt-out board. I do not really want to replace it unless I have to as it is a Canon fax/copier/scanner printer.

Just suggestions of a repair shop on Samui please - I do not want to go to Surat to get it repaired.

If Inkworld can't fix it try the bloke opp Maenam post office. When a similar prob happened to me I eventually identified the power supply (ie something had blown in that fat bit on the lead) as the cause and purchased a 2nd had one there. The model had gone out of service therefore I couldn't find a new lead anywhere locally.

It still works but scanning is manual rather than automatic.

Unless it's a really high end printer, it will be much better to just replace it. Printers are dirt cheap nowadays. A brand new Canon Pixma is about 2500 baht.

Do you guys know if these 2 places fix laptops, or are they just printer people?

Has to be worth taking a look at when the repair cost could be as low at perhaps 100 Baht

Inkworld.

The people at Inkworld are very good. They know their stuff.

I have now taken two printers there for help and they have fixed them both - free of charge.

Simple things had gone wrong and the folks at Inkworld sorted it in no time at all.

(An erratic power cable in one case and a small piece of metal had fallen into the printer in the other example.)

Well done Inkworld thumbsup.gif

I can recommend inkworld as well. My HP laser printer that ive had finally went out after 2 years. I Took it to them turns out needed a new motherboard. Suggestions were to either replace with new motherboard or buy a new HP printer. It was Cheaper to do the new motherboard. They were quite helpful
