Pigeon defense of the roof gutter

Featured Replies

I got a pigeon problem, they sit on the edge of the roof gutter and then drop their shit from there.

The place gets dirty within a week or two regardless of rain :-(

I'd like to install spikes on the whole length of the roof gutter - I wasn't able to find a readymade product for that in homepro or homemart.

Any ideas? Maybe a good metalworker / roofer who could make the spike wall?

I'm in Pattaya area, the length of the gutter to equip is about 20 meters.

While it is not the "device" you asked about, this product, which is widely available in Thailand, seems to have worked at our home

It was easy to apply and has lasted for two years so far. Different shops have different prices for the two sizes of this stop bird paste. The web site lists some of the dealers in Thailand.

The spikes the OP asked about are also sold direct by this firm http://www.stop-bird.com/en/products.php

thanks for that info

I think the shops listed in banglamung area are also construction companies, so they should also be able to install these.

I'll just go to talk with the company and see what they can do.

I use cloth tape, sticky side facing up, where-ever I don't want gekos or pigeons. Won't last long if its an area that is exposed to rain though. Perhaps there is something similarly sticky that you could apply that is more resilient to water.

get yourself an immitation hawk.
