How do you reset the password to a new one on an Android phone?

Featured Replies

A few weeks ago, I bought a new cell phone at Fortune Tower here in Bangkok and it is working pretty good. It’s a Motorola Fire XT phone.

Now, concerning changing my e-mail password on the phone has been next to impossible. I’ve looked online and what they said, my phone would not do what it was supposed to do. The reason is, my gmail account got hacked last week and I was forced to create a new password for my account.

I tried to remove the account from the settings menu, but it failed. When I was playing with the phone I came across the new password option, but I forgot where it was.

This is an Android phone?

You may have to add a NEW Google account, using the old gmail address and the new password?

Settings, Accounts, + Add account, choose Google, Add a Google account, try Existing.

Go to phone settings..... Select back up and restore option from settings menu..... Click on back up my data .... Then click on Factory reset... When phone reboots just go to settings again and select accounts then sign in to google account using new password... Sorted... Enjoy your new phone :)
