Life-Threatening Injury to painter in Jomtien

PATTAYA:--A 38 year old Painter & Decorator, who was working on the outside of a shop-house sustained serious burns after he came into contact with live power cables.

Police and rescue services were called to the building located in Soi Tepprasit 10 in Jomtien on Monday Morning and assisted Khun Sarayut who was lying on the pavement next to the building which houses a snooker hall. He had sustained life-threatening injuries caused by the electric shock he sustained and the subsequent fall from a third floor platform.

High Voltage electricity "jumps" some distance depending on the amount of voltage. You do not have to touch that transformer, just get near enough for the voltage to jump to you then you are the ground.
