IN BANWANGTAN

For 10 years, or so, Dr. Howard Graves has been hosting opera evenings in his home in Chiangmai. He has moved to Banwangtan and is most happy to announce his continuing the opera evenings. BEVERLY SILLS IN PERFORMANCE LA TRAVIATA FROM THE WOLF TRAP FILENE CENTER IN WASHINGTON D.C.

These evenings involve invited guests who bring whatever they plan to drink during the evening and, also, bring some delicious food to share at the pot luck supper during the opera interval. Dr. Howard provides the desert.
Once the opera (scheduled on alternate Tuesday evenings) has been chosen, an e/mail invitation is sent to the members of the Opera Society. Those wishing to attend return a request for a seat which is confirmed if, indeed, a seat is available. At present, there will be a total of 15 available seats for each performance which will be screened via a projector to a large screen.
If you wish to become a member of the Opera Society and attend the opera evenings, please, send an e/m <email removed. send a PM> with each full name and telephone number (you need not be a resident of Banwangtan). Confirmation of membership will be sent along with full details and you will receive subsequent invitations. Arrival is usually at 7:00 PM with a curtain at 7:30PM sharp.
