Nor do they seem to have undertakers in the western sense, families seem to pick up bodies from the hospital and take them to the temple.

Sorry,I was just having a joke at the owners choice of vehicle.More often than not where I am,it is a patient transfer ambulance that delivers to the wat or the deceased's home but I have seen a pick-up and even an etan doing that job.
