The DVD shop next to Jok Sompet...

...has it closed down or relocated?

I went there a week or so ago and it was empty. There was no sign in the window saying what had happened, so I was wondering if any CMTVers know what has happened to it.

it was closed and cleared sometime before 13 june 13 and ive no idea where they went

the best dvd film / music video rental shop i know of is near the end of wing 41 road by the traffic lights

I went to this rental shop 2 weeks ago because I noticed their sign advertising Blue Ray rentals. In order to become a member you need to pay 1,200 baht. On top of that there is an additional charge for renting the DVD. I don't remember how much but it was overpriced IMO. I'm sure some may disagree but for the price, the selection wasn't that great either.

I'd much rather leave a deposit of 1200 baht and pay a reasonable fee for the rental.

One good point that I did notice was that you could reserve a movie and they would leave it on the shelf with a "Reserved" sign on it.

What is the value of old, even broken, CDs?  I noticed that Rimping in San Sai has a box for collection of old unwanted CDs and i cannot imagine these have any value to anyone.
