For floor tiles try to get something non slip. Some of these tiles they sell are lethal in bare feet especially if wet, but dry also.

A lot of people like to put a mat , that slips even further - you get the picture!

Non slip is best.

Good point. We have ceramic tiles in the living room and the front foyer. Just a small drop of water and you could find your feet over your head or find out you could do the splits. We have rubber backed mats for just outside the bathroom doors.

fortunately the room that is being built is not connected to the bathroom /toilet area but as u and Sally have said non slip is the most important aspect before colour and design

As to another side to these ladies health care, do they ever get taken out for a ride or just a look-a-round?

If yes, and someday you are planning to take them out for a ride, and you would care to stop by, I would be happy to treat them to a little snack. Maybe something different for them. Our place is not difficult to access even for disabled.

Don't have much in the way of things to offer but would be very happy to do the above.

anyway the building work started yesterday and the builder suggested that they should have an en suite bathroom in the room which of course being ladies they jumped at so now

I am frantically costing the extra materials trying to balance the budget

The lazy brother who lives with Yai and Noi has suddenly woken up and is helping the four builders and is going to paint the wooden structure of the shack himself

I think the promise of satellite tv when its all finished may have had something to do with his new found enthusiasm

I will be updating this thread over the next couple of weeks as work progresses so please keep coming back

the toilet, handrails, windows, light switches, and door knobs have been positioned so as to make them accessible and easy to use by the ladies

You have my respect and admiration for what you are doing for these ladies. Looks like it is coming along nicely.
