Today's A Holiday, Since I Can't Buy Beer & Can't Do Drinking, Let's Do Washing

Very curious, HOW MANY HERE in the PUB are doing their washing on this fine Tuesday?

Why did you choose today?

Was it planned?

And do you have your squeeze around some place to help?

With the hanging up to dry?

And the taking down, and folding?

Do you hang outside?

Or is there a place to hang inside?

What about one of those drying machines?

I'm lucky that I currently live in a tolerant country that does not foist its religious prejudices on others.

I'll be going for a chinkie and a bevvy tonight with colleagues.

We've been given an ex gratia extra day at Eid Al Fitr, so I'm not complaining - except to note that as usual, I've not bothered to plan anything ahead, so it'll be another quiet five-day weekend this year again...

Well then, don't set yourself a frenetic pace or nothin' like we do over here in Chiang Mai.

You might just sit back and enjoy some tea.

That is fine for you to say,

I bought some Thailand Soap powder,

And there were two girls on the packaging,

Which sort of got me going for a while,

And I have been just holding onto my washing machine in the Apartment Hallway

Feeling it move in my hands and.....the soap and the spinning and.....

Well I could certainly use a shot of that Bushmills now.

But you know, in America where I am from, there are "Laundromats" (Rooms With Washing Machines Lined Up Inside)

That also have Bars with Beer and Spirits attached, and the girls and the guys get together in the bar,

And they all do their laundry together and do some dancing around the washing machines.

I wish Thailand would have one of those near my apartment, because I get pretty lonely in my hallway,

Although it is well lit and nice.

So maybe if anyone wants to come over and wash some clothes with me, then they probably should PM me or something.

But they will be responsible for the folding, which is the worst part.

And, everyone knows, when you get really bombed on beer,

You can just watch the washing machine go back and forth, back and forth, back and forth,

For hours,

And it is so fascinating. I am sure everyone here has had the identical experience as I.

There is something about the human brain that can cause it to become fixated by a good oscillating washing machine with the cover open so you can see the suds,

While drinking ever more suds.

What can I say,

Have I not perfectly captured the moment?

Absolutely, OCH. Couldn't have said it better myself.

When I was a bit younger I liked to get inside the dryer and have a friend turn it on. Wheee laugh.png

Now I have to find a large, commercial-sized dryer to do the same . But it's still a blast w00t.gif

Kids!

These days, they just don't enjoy cheap thrills.

Gotta have an Iphone.

Might even sell a kidney for an Ipad.

Give us a washing machine

Or a dryer, And we are content.
