Hi All

I have just moved to the Lad Prao area near the mall Bangkapi. I have never seen so many other Asian tourists in Bangkok until I moved to Soi 130. There are a few Asian hotels here and they are catering for ASEAN tourists in a big way,

In the last few days Tesco Express on 130 has been overrun by Vietnamese, Indonesians and Malaysians.

This morning I had breakfast in took lae dee in foodland Ladprao. There were many Indonesians having breakfast but were having trouble ordering. they spoke very good English but the waitress kept shouting back at them No English No English.

I hope this is not an indicator of what is to come in 2015 for Thailand.

I have a lot of contact with high ranking Thais who just smile when I ask them if they are ready for ASEAN. They just smile and tell me that the other nations will be able to speak Thai.

What an attitude for the future
