I have a "Samsung" HDMI adaptor for output from a Samsung device to HDMI. Bought it on Ebay and it has a Samsung logo on it. 11 pin.

It works well with the old Samsung S2 I have, but doesn't work at all with the newer Note 2. Any ideas on reason behind this or solution please?

They are usually device specific. If you want one for a Note II, buy it.

Ones for the S3 work with the Note II (and perhaps the S4), it's probably a power issue.

I bought today at the Samsung shop on third floor of Gateway on Sukhumvit. Price was 870THB. Works great. Shop lets you test it before you buy. Might have preferred a cheaper deal but life's too short.
