Onda V-791 Kaa-Phht...KaaPhump!

Featured Replies

Last year, a friend in Chaing Rai bought a ONDA V-791 tablet on my recommendation. (When will I ever learn...??)

It was used mostly by his GF for Thai TV watching and gaming.

Last month; a weird noise, smoke and a bad smell.....Below is how it looked after, the "airbag" was apparently the battery.

It was neither being used or charged at the time; VERY strange!!

Any ideas?? Pib??? Lomo???

Does anybody have the ONDA email address? I tried "[email protected] but got a failed notice. Nothing but phone numbers on their new webpage.

"Thai TV watching..." I think it just gave up hope!

If it is heavy enough, i would say you got yourself a first grade doorstopbiggrin.png ONDA? LOOOL. Well, if you are desperate, give them a call then..

Try go to a pc repair shop and see if it works with a new battery.

If not, yes perhaps a door stopper.

Don't you think it looks a bit out of shape biggrin.png

Wow it looks like a microwaved popcorn bag inside the tablet. I think with these Chinese brand tablets you have to get your warranty work from the shop you bought it from.

I bought my Onda V971 in Nov 2012 from a western Bangkok store and had to have the battery replaced in Dec 2012 because the 8000mah battery would take up to 16 hours to fully charge which should have only took about 4.5 hours to fully charge, but the shop I bought it from handled the warranty repair/battery replacement...its been working fine since and I use it all the time.
