we looked at a lot of car rental firms and found nothing to beat AVIS. We ended up with a fairly new Toyota vious for Bt499 a day on a monthly basis. Theyb do not advertise these rates but look on thier website for long term rentals and you fill in a form on line and tell them how much you want to pay per month (we put bt 15000) and they will get back to you with an offer. Insurance is included and they are very reliable. I think they have an office on Samui where ou can pick up the car and take it to K.Pangnan

don't go with any dodgy small company when u have a big and reputable player offering fantastic deals and great well-maintained cars

Also Budget car rentals and Hertz both available have same sort of deals for long term.

I've always found Budget to be good for short term rentals. But I suppose it all depends on what type of car you need though. I am normally renting a pickup with carryboy back and no-one comes close to Budget for just 1 or 2 days, for both availability and price.

15k per month for a Vios is a good price from such a reputable company.
