Any Paradigm Dealers in Bangkok?

Featured Replies

I'm just having no luck trying to buy the Paradigm MilleniaOne CT system in Bangers. Every review I've read about the system just raves about it, and you would think with so many condo's in Bangkok a compact little giant-killer 2.1 home theatre system that can also handle music spectacularly well would be walking off the shelves eh.

Please, does anyone know of a Hi-Fi shop in Bangkok that stocks Paradigm? As much as I trust the reviews I've read I would still like to demo the system before laying down the biccies. Buy in haste, repent at leisure and all that.

I should add I've already tried the distributors in the stickies above with less then zero luck. It's almost as if they do not want to sell to you... incredible. I got my girlfriend to call the distributors and speak in Thai to them, with no luck. Seriously, I have about ten phone numbers and not one of them have returned my calls. Language barrier with me, fair enough, but my girlfriend? Makes you wonder if these people are in business or what?

So I'm hoping that dealing with a Hi Fi shop that actually stocks Paradigm products will be an easier experience.

Thanks Ian, I've contacted Piyanas and it looks like I might get a result here.

Thanks for the heads up.

Hi IMHO,

I did in the first instance find both the Kangyong and also the Inventive-AV sites on the distributor's list that's a sticky at the top of the AV forum here on TV (Kangyong are Paradigm distributors and Inventive-AV are Anthem, Paradigm's sister company apparently) and I contacted them both by phone first and then email, and still having no luck I got my girlfriend to call them both and speak in Thai to them, thinking that might cut through the languange barrier.

Mate, seriously... I just about slashed my wrists. One of the most torturous experiences I've ever been through, and I'm trying to buy something off them, or one of the retailers they deal with! Just simple unbelievable, and I've seen some seriously batshit weird stuff in my time (like some of the replies on TV here for example, ho ho!).

Anyways, I did contact Piyanas and they seem to be very on the ball, I received an email back very promptly and it's looking like I'll be able to pick it up my system early next week. Good oh!

I was so pissed off I nearly settled for a sound bar, but I've never heard one that does music well. And the whole surround thing is not that big a deal to me, I can live with 2.1 on the movies and TV but I do like to have a good music system. I've never really understood the whole soundbar thing, but they seem to be a rapidly growing market eh. I would have thought the shops here would have been full of 2.1 systems, given how small some of these condo's are and how basic soundbars sound doing music, but apparently not.

I also found some Focal systems in my web travels (Bird & Superbird) that have got some good reviews but I'm sure I'll be happy with the Paradigm system.

Thanks for your help mate, much appreciated.
