Chiang Mai Airport transfer to night market Hotel

Featured Replies

Guys what are my alternatives/cost of transport to the night market area from the airport in mid afternoon-thanks with all replies.

150baht from most of the "taxi" desks at the airport.

walk 1 KM to Hang Dong Rd., and flag a yellow songtaew. It will take you to near the South East Corner of the moat. Walk another KM...you're there for 10 THB.

Or get on a red at the airport and tell them Thighlander said 60 THB....they will take you to Night Basar.

There are several market areas in Chiang Mai. You will have to be more specific.

As said earlier 150 baht at the desk will take you to the one you want. Or if you wait around a red songtaew will come by.

taxi's are a standard price of 120B for a car taxi and 150B for a SUV taxi.

Plus the 50baht airport fee :)

Get an airport taxi. Had plenty of friends tried walking out to get a songtaew to no avail.

Its easy - walk out the front of the airport, turn left and then right - walk past immigration to Airport Plaza - red songtaew there (40b to town) or walk to the front of the mall and Yellow Songtaews there.

Having said that, it is no fun walking that far with suit cases in the mid day heat (or rain right now!) and less fun trying to get on a Songtaew with luggage! - Taxis are worth the price at the airport heading in to town (interestingly it costs 250 + 50apf to go the other way up to Hang Dong - or 200 + 50apf if dropped off before Somoeng junction)

Are you serious? I've been telling friends and family the 120 or 150 for a while now. They're probably wandering why I didn't tell them about the fee!!!
