Motorbike dumped in pond mystifies park-goers

PHUKET: -- Police and local residents are scratching their heads over a motorcycle found dumped in a pond at Rama IX Park (King’s Park) in Phuket Town (map here) yesterday morning.

The abandoned bike – apparently in good condition – was first noticed by park users doing their morning exercises.

“The bike, with a Ratchaburi license plate, Kor Mor Ror 407, was dumped in the lagoon but only half submerged,” Phuket City Police Lt Phumi Saemaworranon said.

Kusoldharm Foundation rescue workers removed it from the pond. The bike was entirely intact.

“We believe it might be the work of a gang of motorbike thieves who dumped it,” said Lt Phumi.

“We are now investigating who the registered owner of the motorbike is and checking whether it has been reported stolen,” he explained.

Lt Phumi Saemaworranon probably might crack this case, motorbike dumped in a pond, sounds like a high priority investigation

sorry but with the plate number , is it possible to found to owner ?

With a plate it should take less than 15 minutes to get to the owners name, as we are in Thailnd I gave them the credit of 15 min in Europe it takes the same amount but in seconds! Getting a diver to the lake for searching below the waterline probably let you to find the driver!

Thai police and media really have no idea how stupid they make themselves look, do they.

The submersible scooter failed to go under, Honda is now looking for the reason . Maybe too many airheads around with the investigation !!!!!

About 10 years ago I saw a farang rented a bike in Phuket but he lost the bike and the shop won't return back his passport and his is on the way to catch a flight back, you can see his tears start dropping . notting we can do as farang lost someone propert but make sure is was fully cover by insurance next time even you cost higher.

It's a new semi-submersible model.
