Martin Jol odds must be shortening

yeah think only the new owner taking over from the insane one saved him there. he's on thin ice. pardew's still always a joe kinnear cognac hangover away from the hoof though.

Well i think if Arsenal only manage a draw at home next week the home crowd will be screaming for Wenger's head

Says the boy whose club has had how many Manager's since Wenger took over (17 years ago yesterday funnily enough)? And whose current managers initials spell "Another Vacancy Beckons".....

I'm sure some of them must have been boo'ed occasionally.

Surely you know more about fans facing crushing disappointment than we do? After all you've been dealing with it since 1961.

Chuffed to bits for Chris. top bloke, proper football man that the players are clearly playing for, and i'm sure the geordies would agree after the way their owners dumped on him.

Tough few games coming up for Norwich though.

I agree.

I think Hughes will be in trouble with a few more performances like that.

They put up more of a fight against us to be honest. I thought Stoke had a whole "I can't be arsed" look about them.

Perhaps they've got their own bit of Sunderland-style Player Power going on?

Chicog wasn't you one of the many on the Arsenal thread wanting Wenger to be sacked not all that long ago?

Not sure its a sacking. but Ian Holloway has left Crystal Palace. It follows the predictable policy with teams promoted to the Premier League and Managers sacked/leaving. Last season Brian McDermott at Reading and Nigel Adkins at Southampton.

Hughton is obviously in great danger today, as will be Malky McKay should they lose.

I think Man City probably put the nail in his coffin, though they were generous as it could have been 14!

AVB teetering on the edge ? And if he goes, who would Spurs bring in ?

JD, to be fair its only the media thats saying this. Its what Joe Lewis and to a slightly lesser extent Daniel Levy think thats relevant. I do agree that in the mad world of football its possible that he could be sacked but i have to say i'd be deeply disappointed after our points tally and cup progress.

Are we saying that a heavy defeat away to the title favorites, and a goal drought after 12 games but 20 points, (4 off top four) deserves the sack? This is the coach that achieved our highest ever points tally may i remind you also.

Thinking logically it would be ridiculous to sack him and self made billionaires tend not to be mugs.

I think that one of the main problems that AVb has is with the tabloid brigade of football writers which ultimately stems from the fact this he has a far more urbane with his English than they are, he's paid a fortune and still younger than most of them too. Its called envy. In Adrian Durham's case is simply called being a complete and utter bell end

All noted. I wouldn't argue with any of your points. Seems it will boil down to what Joe and Daniel were expecting and whether they can stomach the lack of goals and any more ugly losses. Particularly the losses. More of that and I would think AVB might be cut loose.
