Universal iptv or just Thai?

Featured Replies

My condo charges 2300thb for cable! My contract doesn't allow me to change cable companies and it currently charges 2300 baht a month for basic True Visions!! Needless to say I cancelled that a long time ago.

I upgraded to 12mb internet because I'm interested in an iptv service. I've searched through the forums here and read about Thai Expat tv and Maigetv, but these are through Thailand. I'd like something that I can use worldwide.

I'm leaving to either Germany or Korea next and

a) would love to have one device/subscription that works in most countries.

or a cheap iptv box/service in Thailand that I can use until I leave in 7 months.

I only really care about English language news, Premier League and Nat Geo, Discovery type of channels. Movie channels are just a plus. Any ideas?

Aside from being fleeced by my building management for True, what options can you guys recommend?

Maigetv & ThaiexpatTV sounds good but when I leave Thailand I believe it will be too far to stream to Germany/Korea. Anyone have experience with these outside of Thailand?

I appreciate any advice or thoughts you guys have!!

I'd install XBMC on your laptop and grab some of the streaming add-ons. Not only is XBMC free but so are all the live channels. Maybe not the best quality but you can watch live TV anywhere in the world as long as the internet connection is okay.

Must have add-ons; 1channel.ch | Navi-X | Project Free TV.

There's a ton of add-ons on the xbmchub website. It really is your best option from what you've suggested you want.

I have a strong 10mb connection and manage to stream Sky Sports etc without much buffering.

Thanks for the info! I've never heard of it.

Will do my homework on it asap.

There's an Android version on XBMC as well, so can watch on the road with your phone or tablet. I just carry it around on phone with an HDMI adapter to plug into any TV.
