Best data plan for tourist (3 days) data ?

Featured Replies

Hello. I am back in Thailand in 2 weeks. What is the best SIM I can get for internet data (whatsapp etc...) and local phone calls (few) while I am in Bangkok ?

I saw DTAC had a 1 week unlimited plan, is very any company offering a shorter plan ?

Thanks

Looks like DTAC Happy Tourist 49 is a good bet : I will have free internet one day, then 2 baths per MB for the next 2 days, that should be cheaper than the 299 Bath card, unless I spend 150 Megas in 2 days which I won't !

But I also saw Truemove Starter Pack at 49 bath seems to include 90 megas ? So that should be far enough ? But not sure I understood well : do they charge if you use wifi ??? http://truemoveh.truecorp.co.th/3g/sim-truemoveh/prepaid/entry/2271

What would you chose ? No international call, a few local calls, and internet data but no streaming, just texting and apps.

Take advantage of True-H's free 2GB welcome pack. Get the cheapest SIM, dial *850#, turn on data, click the link in SMS. 2GB free.

I am fairly certain that all three major service providers offer one day, 7 day, 10 day and 30 day mobile data options.

The one day options are ~ 49 baht and have unlimited usage with a fair-use cap of ~ 150 MB.

AIS/One-2-Call: *104*29*9

DTAC/Happy: *777*1#

TrueMove H: *900*3302#

So for three (3) days just repeat twice; clock may start/stop at 23:59/00:01 so beware; four (4) days might steer one up to a weekly plan, which typically has a 1 GB FuP.
