Try the 99 crossing on Soi bond kai between Banrak and Chaweng.

Two 7-11 and one Tesco express.

One corner left for a Family mart. thumbsup.gif

Drive from Samui to Bangkok and somewhere around Chumphon you will find 8-10 vendors, side by sideon both sides of the highway, selling salty eggs! What a wonderful selection and they are all the same price, no deals!

I always ask the TG what makes one go to one stall and not the other ?

Her answer is always, if you are lucky then customers come to your stall !

if one person opened a noodles shop at the end then in 20 minutes there shall be 20 of them also. i might put a sign out side my shop saying. " if i am lucky then you customers shall come to me"

Just near that also, a two kilometer stretch where thirty or so vendors compete to sell a pork bun.

Of course everyone hears who is behind the franchises etc etc But is amazing can have FM and 7/11 side by side on every corner and they never fail more just keep opening ;)

People just stop at the easiest place. If I want a drink I find the easiest family mart to park on the left hand side of the road

They cannot fail because people already know what they want before they go in and already know where to look and what they sell

That's why family mart is always located on the left side of the road. ;)

I always wondered about that. Must explain why in mainland Europe they don't have family mart or 7/11. It wouldn't work there, as they drive on the right!

Must be a big market for lucky trivia like those swinging arm chinese statuettes to make them lucky , or extra tamboon to the local Wat , to make them more lucky than the store/stalls next to them . Or is it lucky colours or lucky numbers ?

I always wonder how the mobile phone shops make any money. In most of the shopping malls I go into there are row after row of mobile phone stalls all selling the same things. How do they survive?
