Here's a short distance before we approach the immigration checkpoint. It's literally a bitch for a non thai person to enter. Both sides have protocol for you to fulfil before you can visit but i say the burmese side is worse. A 500 bht payment for a 1 day visa and you cannot leave the area and you have to have your photo taken.

At the market. The blu ray discs are really cheap 20bht for 1 disc.

Anyway here's the exit point out of myanmar back to thailand.

I was there today on a border run ,from C.M.( to get another 3 month stamp ) .Did a bit of shopping ,but not reason enough to go there .Used the Green bus from Arcade .B720 day return .Had 2 hours on the other side for shopping .Was back at arcade at 8 pm ,having left at 8 am in the morning .

]P.S ,To those of you living in Chiang Rai ,it is probably worth going there on a monthly basis for alchol .Especilly with the recent hikes in Tax in Thailand . It might even be worth my while ,and i have to do the sums .
