Bargaining for new at the Dealer

Done or not done here in the LOS? Is it accepted or do you get the big eff off?

I got 12,500 baht off my truck, interest free credit and all the 'extras' for free.

But generally speaking, I think you will only get the 'extras' (you know, the stuff that in reality comes with the car like mats, bed liners, rear seats for the extra cab models and if you have no taste those awful chromed plastic bits that you can stick in various places).

Unfortunately unlike at the local fruit market bike and car dealers aren't really a place for haggling. Its just never been a socially accepted practice here. Although you can try for freebies. I got a t-shirt when I bought my Ducati Monster

Got 2k bht off a Honda Phantom 7 years ago.

Got my Cbr250r for 99k so didn't even try to haggle.

Wifey got 500bht off her Mio and that was hard work!

Each bike came with the cheapest plastic helmet imaginable and a nylon jacket.

M/cycle dealers seem to have very little scope to discount.

only at the shops selling second hand bikes can go for a discount.
