can anyone confirm the date of this? i know its ment to be tomorrow (17th) although I read about a month ago it would be postponed to the 23rd...

It was supposed to be postponed out of respect to the passing of the Supreme Patriarch. That does not seem to be the case & events as per normal.

Official festival tonight the 17th.

Mole why don't you give us an insight of where the activities might take place? You are knowledgeable of such happenings.

I know Chaweng lake is a busy area for it.

The locals even seem to be a bit tight lipped, about what's going on and where...this year... .... so come on Mole!

If my garden gets raided for flowers, then I will know something is happening...

Usually Chawang Lake is a busy spot ... but ... oh the parking

Nathon, usually has a good set up too.... but nothing has been said yet and I have asked! ! So we will see, I guess!

I would imagine Lamai would be a good place, but never made over there.... I guess Notmyselftoday, is too tired to tell us!

If the rain tonight is anything like last night's storm then I'll be able to float my Kratong down the hill where I live.

In previous year's Chaweng lake has been the place to go and for a few years it was Big Buddha (until they started charging an entrance fee).

There used to be a big event @ Big Buddha, don't know it's on any more.

Many years ago a friend wanted to go there, so he asked the taxi driver to take him to "Aroi Katoy".

Well my limo did not show up... ..... as they say in cricket, rain stopped play .... I think the plan was Chawang Lake, too...
