This is the first automobile built in Thailand. It is a Datsun of an unknown year (anyone have and idea...1971?). The metered taxi sign was added only when the car went into the museum.

This museum is a little gem. It is called the Railway Museum and it houses, besides this car, a number of very early Thai rail carriages and steam locomotives. In fact its collection is very eclectic: old computers (Commodore), old typewriters, old telephones. It is located not far from the weekend market. It is on the grounds of Chatu Chak park. There is plenty of free and easy parking at the museum. It is only open on Saturdays and Sundays from about 9am to 3pm.
