Where I Can Find All Thai Words ?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am looking for a simple DOC, TXT, HTML or RTF source with all, or most of, Thai words in Thai script. Does anyone knows where I can find it, or someting similar ?

Thank you

Try googling for a few obscure Thai words. You should pick up a word list. Alternatively, you could try ICU (International Components for Unicode) - there's a Thai word list in there, but I don't know how easy it is to extract it. I've come across such word lists when googling, but never thought to download the huge files. You'll get a big word list just googling for

กฤษณา ปุงลิงค์
.

Do note that a list like that is heavy on written language and light on spoken language, though.

It's true. Doug's done (and is doing) a lot of great research!

I have found a good word list but the encoding is TIS-620 and I need it to be unicode. Any (easy) way to convert a .txt file from TIS-620 to UTF-8?

update: just found a great online tool to do the job:
