I am more surprised by the high number from the US and from Myanmar.

Considering the percentages in tourists the number of Russians with a WP seems very low, would presume many are still working illegally.

Interesting stats.... Never would have thought the Brits with the most , understand the Russians but the French ??/ Oh well , good luck to all ...coffee1.gif

So the impression of the many Brits working in Thailand is not an illusion.

By the way, I'm surprised Japan didn't make the list - come on, there are certainly more than 27 Japanese holding workpermits in Phuket?

You're right, there must be.

very strange - Myanmar is the only ASEAN country in the list

"Officer 1,274" - does anyone have any idea what exactly is the occupation of "officer?"

probably officer in a company, i.e. an executive

Wouldn't that be covered under "Chairman 2,607 - Chief Executive 460?"

Be covering positions under a CEO/MD: Finance, Operation, IT, etc...

Wow! Thats a lot! I never would have guessed that with the small handful of people I see that the local hangouts.

A lot indeed. It's about sixteen people with a work permit in every sq km of the island.
