is there some way to stop the blue light from blinking? i assume the idea is that it will ward off potential thieves, but IMO all it does is attract attention at night.

this is assuming that different dealers don't use different alarms...if that's not the case, i bought mine in chiang mai.

Car theft is not much of an issue here, as long as you park in a sensible place. Put a piece of tape over the light if you don't like the flashing.

Blue tack is also good.

Park sensibly but the flashing will act as more of a deterrent to the kamoy who need to be away as quick as possible.
