BANGKOK: -- People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) spokesman Ekkanat Promphan yesterday denied report that the January 13 shutdown of Bangkok will include disruption of sky train and subway train services.

The spokesman’s confirmation of no disruption of the subway and sky train services and of no airport closures after it was widely circulated in the social media that protesters would disrupt train and airport services and any other mass transport services.

He asked the public to listen only to the PDRC leader Suthep Thaugsuban and not to fall prey to the social media’s unfounded reports.

Who knows what schemes both sides are planning. I don't; and from what we are being "told" neither do the ranks below the Supreme Leaders of either side.

A scary picture of the future Thailand under Suthep!!whistling.gif

Not even his comrades in the revolution are informed and allowed to speak!

Everything has to come from the "Master" himself!!

Reminds me a little of the "Master in the dessert"coffee1.gif

Same same, but different!

It's pretty obvious that they're just making it up as they go along. But they never did have a plan. When the original protests against the amnesty bill were successful and Yingluk blinked, the democrat party decided to throw caution to the winds and go for broke to try and seize power back from PTP by whatever means possible - lawful or otherwise. So here we are - in uncharted waters.

What are you going on about? That doesn't look like Suthep doing the speaking in the OP.

I never knew this guy is Suthep's wifes/mistress's son. Talk about keeping it in the family.

Yeah Thaksin should sue Suthep for trademark theft coffee1.gif

...but this guy takes the cake....they promised to bring Bangkok to a complete halt and now, given a backlash, decide they didn't really mean it. What a piece of work...couldn't lie straight in bed.

Yea and I bet they deny disrupting candidates from registering and will deny threatening people if they turn up to vote also. Biggest pack of idiot on the planet of the earth.

His wife and mistress had a son. That's impressive.

Quite possible in Thailand.

This is chess, not checkers. Sure Suthep's crazy - like a fox. And like the Red Shirt's in 2010, he's always had a pretty good idea of what his options are - although I doubt POW SIRIRAJ! POW KRUNGTHEP! are among them as they were for the Red Shirts.

I don't own a gun and never really thought much about it. In the last few years in the US the debate about gun ownership has been about the rights of the people to have guns vs. having too much guns. Now in Thailand where the Military is the only group that owns a large number of firearms and has absolute power, what can the people do to defend themselves and their country, if the army decides to take over. I've never believe in guns before but this would be the only time that I understood what the US second amendment means.

My 80 year old mother and two sisters are coming to Thailand January 15 for a two month escape of the

currently -35 C temperatures in Canada. So could you please hold off shutting down the airport a few days longer. coffee1.gif

I wonder who is the puppet behind Suthep. No one is ever this confident.

I assume you mean who is behind the puupet Suthep.

Here is some prospects: http://www.chiangraitimes.com/news/20951.html

No they are the puppet handlers (the two generals) the puppet masters are the family of 200. This whole thing is about who will control an estimated fortune of $ 300 bn in future. I can't be more specific without breaking a certain law.
