Driving Lessons

Recommended Posts

i'm wanting to get driving lessons for my girlfriend as a present, as she learnt to drive a long time ago and has forgotten her skills and would like to get a licence and be able to 'drive' in thailand. Can any one give recommendations on a company that they have used or that they know is reputable in bangkok.

Thanks.

Just go to the place in Sapan Kwai where you go to get your driver's licence or change registrations, etc... in thai it's called 'kon song' or something like that. If your gf is thai, she should be able to get lessons there easily. They even have a little driving course that does not nearly represent the horror of bkk driving, but it's a start.

Every neighbourhood has a driving school, there's no need to travel across the city for lessons. Just look around for little shops with lots of sign stickers.

10,000 is way too much for a license.

That's the going rate apparently...........

Of course, he needs to pay someone else along the way, then that someone else will have to pay another.......the list goes on init.

Thailand mate............

My Girlfirend for Argentina popped over to BKK without a visa, and just slipped a US100 note in between her passport and got her entry stamped immediately by the immigration officer with no questions asked.

Amazing place dude................

Can get a hitman for only 5000 Baht.

Respeck!!!!

My friend studied the theory part for a week and took the exam.

Passed and next thing was the eye test etcetra, also passed.

Then went to the practical part and payed the dude 2000 Bath and she passed.

Easy life in Thailand.

Oh by the way she also took a 10 hour driving lesson. Big joke.

Normally in civilised countries there is double controls right. Here you just step in the car and hit the pedal the guy sit next to you and tell to go straight, left ore right for an hour.

Driving a car is not difficult in Thailand, just follow the flow and only look what is happening in front of you.
