Fractional Ownership

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I've recently become aware of an alternative way to buy into foreign property called Fractional Freehold Ownership where the purchaser buys typically 1 month minimum in a property.

The properties I have seen are in Switzerland, Spain, Florida and the UAE.

On paper it seems like a good alternative way to own a foreign property without the usual hassles associated with owning a second home abroad.

A good proportion only maybe spend a month or six week per year in their holiday home, so it either sits empty for the remainder or it's rented out some of the time, plus there is the on-going costs, even when not there.

I wondered if any one on TV had come across this type of arrangement before in Thailand ?

Thanks

Mike

Timeshare is alive and well and living in Thailand, its salespeople are the scourge of many a beach resort :o:D:D

"Fractional Ownership" is apparently just starting to happen here

Timeshare without the sales pitch, mainly because you are buying a much larger chunk of the property !!
