Paint the walls and ceilings then sand the floor or the opposite?

Hi,

I'm currently engaged in the partial renovation of an old condo. I wonder what is the best order to do things: get the walls painted first then have the old floor sanded (no risk of having paint stains on the renovated floor) or have the floor sanded and varnished and then have the walls and ceilings painted (could the dust generated by the floor sanding damage the painting)?

Thanks for your suggestions.

^yah. That link had diverse opinions. This one slightly different: sanding the floors will certainly leave scuff marks on the walls so I would do that (the floors) first. On the other hand, a good paint job will not be bothered by dust (can be cleaned). But, it will be bothered by sanding machines and idiots.

Edit: and when you paint use drop cloth (which you might have to do yourself b/c Thai painters think it's not macho or what - I don't know.)
