You must be a Red! Do you believe everything the PTP says? This seems more like a setup or simple propaganda to make people stop looking at the PTP and cultivate more dissention.

It could be possible though since Suthep has said plain and clear he is facing life in prison or worse and is talking about stealing the rice to give back to farmers.

But i have no faith in anything the PTP says. They have done nothing but post lies to cover their arsssses.

The issue is Suthep using protest donations to purchase land in his name.

Well actually the topic is about the Pheu Thai spokesperson Prompong accusing Suthep to allegedly having used donated money to allegedly buy a plot of land.

First step might be to check the document which k. Prompong allegedly used to make his accusation.

If its true then it's wrong but I'm not convinced it is. Even if it is true it doesn't make the anti governmental regulations protests any less relevant. I don't like Suthep myself but he has managed to rally people behind him but I can't see him gaining much power from it. At least I hope not.

Huh? This is politics - not a court case in which someone has already been charged. In this situation, and in most situations in politics, you go in for the kill. You don't prevaricate. If the evidence is true, then destroy Suthep immediately and gain some breathing space, which the PT shysters desperately need.

Its not hard you just trace back the transfer of funds from where ? If its cash or untraceable or defendable with clear paperwork and corroborated trails of legal funding then theres a problem.

seriously if I was supporting someone who is always going on about corruption and they were put under suspicion for it Id demand that person proves they are innocent of such a claim and i dont mean dodgy family transfers unless all funds are provable to be legal and post tax.

There are locations in Chiang Mai and Ubon for example selling for 30 million per Rai and more. 280 million for 52 Rai is less than 5.5 million per Rai. Makes perfect sense if it's on a main street.

It's the reputation which Pheu Thai spokesperson Prompong has build up over the years. Just because he accuses and waves some documents is no reason to start a full fletched investigation. The first step would be examination of all 'proof' k. Prongpong stated to have. Assuming all seems in order (the proof that is) a real investigation can be started.

When Suthep is accused of something, he's innocent even if proven guilty.

This is a guy that has been accused of corruption with land deals before Thaksin even entered politics.

Isn't it up to the accuser to prove the guilt of the accused? Anyone can make allegations. Unless he can prove them to a reasonable degree, it's just slander.

Wouldn't be the first time this guy has been convicted of that offense by a court of law.
