a convenient overnighter near bus station?

Featured Replies

After dozens of trips to Mae Sai wife finally decides she wants to tag along because she wants to see the white temple.

so to kill two birds i suggested we stop off in chiang Rai on the way back, shack up for the night (i actually thought B2) and then perhaps rent a motorbike so we can ride there the following morning.

from my previous trips the white temple is quite close to the out of town bus station but maybe 20/30 mins from the main central bus station.

so if we land in the main bus station is there a reasonable crash pad within walking distance, or is it a case of tuk tuk to somewhere.

thanks for any suggestions peeps

If you mean the old bus station in town there's quite a few to select from.

The Diamond Park Inn has it's followers, then the Wiang Inn and the Wang Come across the road.

Orchids or Baan Bua just off Jed Yod road are about 400 baht a night and more than adequate as a "crash pad" and only a short walk from the bus station.
