Together with my thai wife I do plan to open a Company in CM. For that i am still looking for staff from Myanmar. Is there any Agency around who could help? Or can anybody bring me in contact with somebody who can help?

Thanks

First I would suggest that you check out with the proper department in govt what you plan to do with staff. Alien workers are not permitted to work in all areas as you would use a Thai worker.

You may get more info from this forum is you could/would specify what type of worker your company would be hiring.

If u have time go to the boarder crossing at Tak , there are agencies there that u can talk to about this. I do know there are the legal ones and illegal ones.

Another area u can look at is the immigration areas were they register. Go and chat with them and usually they are really helpful to try find u workers,

In nontaburi I have seen many Burmese at the immigration office there , my wife chatted with them to get our maid there.

And usually the are legal because they are at immigration .

Keep me posted thanks

Don't have to go to Nontabuuri Immigration. Half those waiting for service at Chiang Mai Immigration are Burmese and yes they are legal. You can talk to the flower lady's selling flowers on Loi Khro.whistling.gif

To clarify I was jut using nontaburi immigration as an example , and that Chiang Mai immigration is more than likely the same

You will be restricted with how many Burmese workers you can hire legally compared to the number of Thai workers that you hire. As a non-Thai I would not advise you to hire illegals on any medium to large scale because Western run businesses come under more scrutiny (for instance when I renew my business visa they focus on the Burmese that I employ) but even Thai companies are being checked out now.

Thank for all the useful Postings.thumbsup.gif

Don´t worry, it´s not in my intention to do anything wrong by law. Seem like many peoples from myanmar do work in thailand, many of them are also right by law there.

„Tak“ it´s a little bit far from me . There are also Agencies around the golden triangle? Seem like this kind of agencies they don´t have homepage on internet?

Myanmar Immigration in Chiang Mai and Flower woman at Wat Loi Khrao, good Points, thank you.wink.png
