I am looking for a source of "American" groceries in Hua HIn. Anybody know of a store that has US products?

I eat Thai food but I am looking for food for my mom. Thanks

There are a few American imported foods at Tesco, Makro and the old Hua Hin Shopping Mall but Villa Market has by far the most. I go to all those places each month because each have things that the others don't, or else a big price disparity.

There is no place that specializes or has a huge selection of American packaged foods though Villa Market probably has the most.

Just because they have a label on them such as "Del Monte" don't think that they are going to tate the same as what you buy in Safeway!

The map on the villa market web site is really bad and the address does not seem to work on google maps, can anyone give me a landmark near villa market, like a hotel or restaurant? Thanks

Look for San Paulo Hospital. Drive South on Phetkasem Rd and you'll see the hospital on the Right Hand Side about 450 yards after the traffic lights at the Tessa Bahn. You'll see the sign for Villa shortly before the hospital.

You'll need to drive past the hospital and make a U-turn. Just follow the signage. Then Villa is just after the hospital on the left.

There is also a Villa Market at the new Venezia Mall. People I've talked to say it even has more imported items, but I haven't been there personally to verify that.

What is American food ?

You know, stuff like pizza and tacos and enchiladas and spaghetti and mince pie and sweet and sour pork and egg rolls and Kosher corned beef and kimchi and sushi and...

But no fricking Vegemite.....Please!

(And it's okay to admit it's not for your Mom. Really)

Thanks everybody for your input, and Jerry for your directions, I got to the Villa Market yesterday and found most of what I was looking for. My 89 year old mom thanks you.

Now I have to find the Venezia Mall.
