It seems the Young Chinese Like Phuket…a lot more than Chiang Mai!? Mar 12, 2014

CityNews - Phuketarrow-10x10.png has been voted the Number One top destination for Chinese students. It was one of six awards won by the exotic South Thailand resort island in the annual ceremony organised by China’s largest online travel agent (OTA), Ctrip.com, and one of nine awards won by Thai destinations in total. Chiang Mai did not scoop any awards, although Bangkok took the best cultural destination.

I was sure it would be voted the best place to dress in school uniforms and attend classes for free. biggrin.png

I can understand the Chinese, and other people, wanting to go to Phuket the first time. I question the judgement of those who want to go back once they know what it's like.

Too bad the CMU marketing department wasn't tuned up! And now, the CMU is trying to turn visitors off! Might actually have gotten better students in the end!

There are various uniforms, of course. The after dark CMU coed uniforms seen at Monkey Club and environs are a lot more fetching, of course, than the standard daytime issue. tongue.png

I thought Phuket is a very expensive place. And there is no university cafeteria there
