JGH Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Hi, i currently live in Thailand and will be returning home soon for a visit to the UK. My GF has applied for a visa. If she is granted a visa! will she require a transit visa for any countries in which we stop to change flights? i dont know where we will change flights, was hoping to get the cheapest available flight, but now that depends on if transit visas are required... any info about this would be a great help. JGH. the cheapest flights tend to be ones that stop in the middle east, do Thai people need transit visa for these places? JGH
the scouser Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 As a general rule, if the Thai passport holder remains airside (doesn't pass through immigration) at the transit point, a visa is not required. However, once you know the country through which you'll be transiting, then more certain advice can be given. Moved to visas and migration to other countries forum. Scouse.
