Thought you had to produce 50,000l a year to get a license.

Warm almond flavoured beer... I can't wait

There used to be a cartoon strip in Viz magazine... Real Ale (deleted)

Name is Bees Knees Brewery, been watching it develop for a few months now (get the cars washed near there). They look to have brought in good equipment and I'm looking forward to something different than the local lager. Where I come from the micro-brews ran rampant and I really miss the choice that provided.

Perhaps the whole topic is preemptive.smile.png

Not many hops on Samui. Coconut beer?

I recently wrote about Kona Brewing Company's Koko Brown Ale, but while it's the most prolific it's certainly not the only beer using coconut.

Our database lists 29 of them that I can find via the beer's name, which still isn't a whole lot. There are another 200 or so that don't have enough rated check-ins to deduce anything meaningful about them, so we'll focus on the 29 most common.

Around by me the coconuts are not even farmed anymore though they do get people in to pick them if they are above the roof of houses for obvious reasons. Otherwise, they are just left to fall when ripe and every so often some locals will gather them up into a pile and burn them. They do burn very well don't they!
