I was astonished to see my dropbox showing over a gigabyte of content on my iPad when the page only indicated a few mb.

Some investigation reveals the existence of a cache which apparently backs up most of what you delete.

I've looked into this and the only thing that seems to work is shutting of the iPad and restarting which has whittled it down to about 800mb.

A suggestion I found was to delete the app completely then reinstall but I'm determined to use that as a last resort.

I have the same problem with another program to watch news headlines, it's cache was over 3 Gb, nowhere I could find how to remove the cache, so I just uninstalled it and reloaded it via iCloud.

It's not a perfect solution but at least it works.

The TV app has a clear cache under settings so it's possible to do.
